It was organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/ani.pt\/\">National Innovation Agency (ANI)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inesctec.pt\/pt\">INESC TEC<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lneg.pt\/\">National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG)<\/a>, in partnership with Battery Cluster Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Held within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network, the initiative gathered representatives from the European Commission, research and technology organisations, companies, and other key stakeholders from the national ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The session included presentations focused on Horizon Europe funding opportunities for the 2026\u20132027 period, including <em>calls <\/em>linked to the Clean Industrial Deal, as well as an outlook on the future of the Horizon Europe programme.<\/p>\n<p>Key features of the European research ecosystem in the battery sector were also addressed, alongside practical recommendations for preparing successful proposals. The event also featured a session dedicated to European collaboration strategies, highlighting the role of the Enterprise Europe Network in supporting partnership building and the development of international projects. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the European project <a href=\"https:\/\/reinforceproject.eu\/\">REINFORCE<\/a>, coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inegi.pt\/pt\/\">INEGI,<\/a> was presented, showcasing Portugal\u2019s involvement in successful European research and innovation initiatives in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank ANI for the invitation to co-organise this event, which highlights the importance of coordination between national and European entities to enhance access to funding and promote the development of a more competitive, innovative, and sustainable battery value chain.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 April, an event focused on European funding opportunities and the promotion of collaboration in the battery sector took place in Lisbon.
