Battery Cluster Portugal welcomes three new members

Battery Cluster has strengthened its network with the addition of EDGE Energy, Sedgman and Valtria by Clauger. The admission of these three companies, approved during the General Assembly held in early June, represents an important reinforcement of the Cluster's expertise in the fields of energy, industrial engineering and advanced technological infrastructure.

Battery Cluster Portugal continues to expand its network of members and strengthen the national ecosystem of the battery value chain and the energy transition.

During the General Assembly held in early June, the admission of three new companies was officially approved: EDGE Energy, Sedgman, and Valtria by Clauger.

These new members broaden the range of expertise within the Cluster, bringing valuable know-how in energy storage, industrial engineering, and specialised infrastructure for highly demanding technological environments.

EDGE Energy:

EDGE Energy develops innovative technological solutions for the energy sector, with activities focused on energy storage, battery repurposing and recycling, the circular economy, electrical installations, and renewable energy solutions. The company is committed to innovation and the development of technologies that promote a more efficient and sustainable use of energy resources.

Sedgman:

Sedgman is an engineering company specialising in the design, development, and delivery of complex industrial projects. With extensive international experience, the company provides engineering, procurement, construction, and operational support services, contributing to the development of efficient and sustainable industrial infrastructure across a wide range of sectors.

Valtria:

Valtria is an international leader in the design and construction of cleanrooms and controlled environments for highly demanding industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, microelectronics, and battery gigafactories. Since joining the Clauger Group in 2023, the company has combined its expertise in controlled-environment engineering with innovative solutions for critical industrial processes.

The addition of these three new members further enhances Battery Cluster Portugal’s ability to foster collaboration between companies, research organisations, and other key stakeholders, driving innovation, competitiveness, and the development of Portugal’s battery value chain.
