The GreenGrid Eurocluster has officially launched the PowerBoost Open Call, an initiative designed to strengthen the innovation capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the framework of the green and digital energy transition.
Through this scheme, SMEs can receive a 2.000€ lump-sum reimbursement to carry out an innovation audit focused on identifying energy-related challenges linked to grid flexibility, digitalisation, renewable energy integration and sustainability. The objective is to help companies better structure their innovation pathways and prepare for subsequent stages of demonstration, testing and scalability under the GreenGrid support scheme.
Eligible applicants include SMEs established in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or countries associated with the Single Market Programme, operating for at least one year in sectors relevant to the green transition. The innovation audit may be conducted internally or with external expert support and must result in a Challenge Description Report. This report is a mandatory step for accessing future GreenGrid funding opportunities, including the Solution Box, aimed at pilot testing activities.
The financial support requires a minimum 20% co-financing contribution from the SME. Proposals must achieve at least 12 out of 15 points in the evaluation process and will be ranked according to their submission date.
PowerBoost represents the first step in the GreenGrid Eurocluster support scheme, enabling SMEs to clarify technological and strategic challenges, reinforce their innovation readiness and position themselves for future funding and growth opportunities.
