Battery Cluster joins the Automotive Project Market

Battery Cluster Portugal took part in the Automotive Project Market in Alenquer, contributing to the discussion on innovation and strategic partnerships in the automotive sector.

The Battery Cluster Portugal actively participated in the Automotive Project Market, an event integrated into the Alenquer Business Forum, which took place on April 2nd and 3rd, 2025. The initiative brought together professionals from the automotive industry, training institutions, students, and key organizations in the sector, fostering a broad reflection on trends and innovation within the automotive sector in both Portugal and Europe.

The Cluster’s General-Manager, Fernando Machado, was present at the invitation of the IDESCOM Association and the Municipality of Alenquer. On April 3rd, he took part in the launch session of the Call Up initiative, part of the Ambassadors4Skills&Jobs program, which aims to support, promote, and reward professional, academic, and research projects in the automotive sector by encouraging strategic partnerships between academia and industry.

In his speech, Fernando Machado emphasized the importance of collaborative initiatives like Call Up, highlighting the role Battery Cluster Portugal has been playing in developing the national battery cluster. He also underlined the sector’s potential as a driver of innovation and competitiveness and stressed the need to strengthen synergies across the industrial and academic ecosystem to accelerate the energy and technological transition.
