Energy Week 2025, one of the leading events in the energy sector, took place from March 17 to 20, bringing together experts, companies, and researchers to discuss the future of sustainable energy. Battery Cluster Portugal played an active role in the event, with its General Manager, Fernando Machado, participating in the seminar “Energy Storage Seminar 2 – Adapting to Change: Education and Innovation in the Evolving Battery Sector”, held on March 19.

Another key focus was the role of clusters in driving innovation and fostering collaboration between industry and educational institutions. Battery Cluster Portugal showcased initiatives such as the Battery Academy, which aims to provide continuous training and professional certifications, as well as internship programs and strategic partnerships to attract and retain talent.
The event reinforced the importance of international cooperation and the development of sustainable solutions for the energy transition, in line with Europe’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
