The GreenGrid Eurocluster project officially kicked off on October 15 in Vilnius, Lithuania, bringing together all consortium partners to plan the first implementation steps and align on a joint strategy for the next three years.
Funded by the European Union under the SMP-COSME Euroclusters programme, GreenGrid has a total budget of €2 million to support European SMEs and startups developing innovative technologies in the field of clean energy and smart grids.
Coordinated by Sunrise Tech Park (Lithuania), the consortium brings together partners from Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Estonia, and Belgium, including Battery Cluster Portugal, which is responsible for data management and the coordination of SME support and capacity-building activities.
Through a series of upcoming open calls, GreenGrid will provide direct funding to SMEs working on solutions in the areas of:
- Grid Flexibility & Digitalisation
- Renewable Integration & Storage
- Process Innovation & Electrification
- Decentralised Energy Systems
- Circular & Resilient Infrastructure.
These initiatives aim to contribute to the creation of Europe’s Green Grid — a more efficient, flexible, and sustainable energy ecosystem that strengthens Europe’s strategic autonomy and accelerates the green and digital transition.
With its participation, Battery Cluster Portugal reinforces its commitment to promoting innovation, competitiveness, and collaboration across the European battery and energy storage value chain, helping to build a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
Stay tuned for the upcoming PowerBoost and SolutionBox open calls!
