R.Power and Lissol strengthen the Battery Cluster ecosystem

The entry of R.Power and Lissol into the Battery Cluster strengthens the link between large-scale international projects and national battery production, boosting the dynamism and diversity of the Portuguese ecosystem

We are delighted to welcome two new members whose complementary expertise will further enrich the battery and renewable energy value chain: R.Power and Lissol.

R.Power: European scale with national ambition

R.Power, a leading European company, specializes in developing large-scale renewable energy and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Recently, it announced plans to develop 680 MW of storage capacity in Portugal, aligned with the country’s 2030 energy goals.

The company also secured €38.6 million in financing from CaixaBank and BPI to support its solar projects in Portugal, backed by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).

By joining the Battery Cluster, R.Power reinforces its commitment to innovation and collaboration in the Portuguese energy and storage landscape, building bridges between technology companies, research centers, and investors.

Lissol: national production, agility, and proximity

Lissol is a Portuguese company based in Maia, dedicated to the development and manufacturing of lithium batteries and solar systems, produced entirely in Portugal.

Born from extensive experience in the battery and solar energy sectors, Lissol is strongly committed to reducing reliance on Asian imports and offering flexible, tailored solutions to Portuguese clients. The ambition is clear, the company aims to become a national reference in battery production, with the agility to respond to diverse applications.
