Battery Cluster Portugal took part in the “Battery Energy Storage Systems” seminar held on April 23 at the School of Technology of Setúbal (ESTSetúbal), which brought together various participants around a central theme for the future of the energy transition.
Fernando Machado, General Manager of Battery Cluster, was one of the guest speakers, contributing to a session dedicated to the strategic role of the cluster in developing the battery sector in Portugal. His presentation highlighted the importance of cooperation between industry, academia, and public entities in promoting innovation, national production, and value creation along the battery value chain.
The seminar also featured contributions from Siemens and Amp Fusion, offering a comprehensive overview of emerging technological solutions in energy storage, from industrial applications to intelligent management systems.
Primarily aimed at undergraduate and master’s students in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the event provided a valuable opportunity to bring future engineers closer to the realities and challenges of the energy sector.
